Quests funding proposal - post MVP development

Proposal Information

The development of Quests MVP is finally coming to an end (pre-release was June 20th). The official release with all features is already ready and should be up after the pre-release event (July 5th). Quests swarm is now requesting more funds for post MVP development as well as reimburse hours that has been done since we ran out of funds (2022-05-05).

Since the last proposal we have :

  • Completed the UX redesign
  • Stabilized and optimized the app
  • Implemented a collateral deposit mechanism when creating a quest to prevent spamming
  • Did a lot of small enhancement
  • Released the app in the Gnosis chain

So what’s next

We will take some time to enhance the usability of the app. But we also received a lot of cool features idea during the MVP development and we’d love to implement some of them:

  • Supporting NFT as a reward
  • Having a category/project that could act as a quest container (could be as simple as adding a tag feature)
  • Allow more communication between stakeholders (open a discord/forum thread, in-app chat, …)

And we’ve been acquiring experience in blockchain development since the beginning of this project.

Funding Information (For Funding Proposals)

Amount of HNY requested:
500 HNY ~ $22k at around $44/HNY splitted in two proposal of 250HNY
Gnosis-safe address where funds shall be transferred:

More detailed description of how funds will be handled and used:

Reimbursement of a 1 month 19 day period:

  • Gossman: 3000$
  • Kevin: 1000$
  • Dreamniv: 600$
  • Felipe: 1450$

Rates for contributors will now be:

  • Kevin: $45/hour
  • Dreamniv: $45/hour
  • Gossman: $50/hour
  • Felipe: $50/hour

Payments will be made in HNY at the $ value at the time of the hours completed, once every 2 weeks. If the HNY price depreciates significantly or development takes longer than anticipated more funds may be requested.

I think we need some time in MVP phase to see how Quests is being used before we spend HNY developing post-MVP features like this, we don’t have a great idea yet of who will be using Quests.

I’d support a smaller proposal to fund just the maintenance of Quests in this phase though.

Yeah starting to think the same of asking like 250HNY instead.
We still need about 5k to reimburse unpaid hours since May 5th
And another 5k for maintenance should be enough
