Whatâs the problem with humble things like herbs, weeds, that just look for a place under the sun ⌠like all of us.

do you have hny vote ? probably nobody will never know who invented the name, but we can change it if we want. If you donât have vote, forget it. This ia a DAO in practice.
You donât just change a name or brand because there happens to be a trend somewhere else. If people write off 1hive because of âfoodâ coin trend, they probably should have done more research and its a bummer for them that they missed out on an awesome community.
You seem to feel really strongly about this though, and I think the beauty of blockchain and open source is that if you really have conviction you can simply fork and prove your point through action! Best of luck with LEAF or HERB or whatever, Iâll be sticking around here because I like Honey.

there is dangerous analogies for a blockchain: bees are very vulnerable and are displaced ver often by its predators, âfood coinâ are gaining bad reputation (cannibal coin) and media can mix all together including hny, one hive -> one queen -> is like a blockchain with just one server ! A blockchain must be descentralized= thousand of servers, should be robust= no predator can put it down, should be wide open, not just to one particular species.
this proposal is an ACTION on a DAO in practtice. People seems to think a DAO is something that never has major changes ⌠just maybe some cosmetic financial numbers can be changed by vote ⌠Name change was done in other coins before, business as usual. Pls, avoid lazy phrase like âdo a fork yourselfâ. This ia a DAO, I have votes and I do an action trying to improve it. At least recognize it.
I think youâre reading too much into it, at the end of the day itâs just a name. It is what it is and itâs not going to be changed.

Hive = The 1Hive community/ecosystem
Queen = The smart contract that keeps the project alive
Honey = HNY
Bees = The community members working round the clock to maintain, grow, protect and keep the smart contract and the Hive alive and running.

I get the point of view from pepeoh333 but to me the name of this project is actually great. Here are a few reasons why:
- Honey is a simple word, short and easy to pronouce, good for brand recognition
- Honey, bees and hive are all positive words, associated with: sweet, tasty, natural, collaboration, groupâŚ
- Honey can be harvested and is precious, the color is also appealing
- Thereâs plenty of potential for attractive design elements with honey, bees and honeycombs
I think that forest and tree wouldnât work so well.

Yes, imagine old times when women had 12 sons, 10 years pregnant ! Nature and social are full of cruel things: fights until death, slavery, etc. What a nice place is civilization ⌠But many are attracted by natural green, the so the peaceful of gardens, parks and forests to balance our so much high tech life.
