It has been an exciting year for 1hive. We have launched several products: Celeste, Agave, Gardens, Honeycomb, we have expanded to Polygon, strengthened collaborations with projects and communities in the cryptosphere, started new initiatives - 1hive TV, NFBeez - and have much more in the pipeline for the upcoming year.

Gardens Swarm

Commons Swarm:

We have released documentation on how to use the EVMcrispr. This concludes the three-part series of articles written to showcase the outcomes of Commons Swarm.
We also have released a new version of EVMcrispr sponsored by Giveth. It includes:

New features:
- New command that introduces the ability to upgrade apps.
- New syntax-sugar method to use agent’s execute function directly.
- Gas price and gas limit can be specified now passing them to the forward function.
- You can pass strings with spaces now to the console using double-quote notation.
Fixes:
- It now recognizes fixed-size array parameters, needed in some agent calls.
- It now loads DAO apps even if some of them don’t have a reachable artifact.

Support Swarm:

Support Swarm have been everywhere, giving an example of what it is to be a member of 1hive. Since honey pumped again, our funding will last us for one more month so this time we won’t be making another proposal.

So, what is next? Support Swarm is planning some cool stuff for the next month, so stay tuned!

Terra Swarm:

The work of the Terra Swarm has slowed down in December, since the previous months saw high activity in updating the Wiki and in translating the Gardens Gitbook page.

Besides the monthly recap, at the moment we don’t have lots of work to do, and we will be waiting for the next updates in the documentation, ready to translate in several languages.

Agave Swarm:

December may look like a slower month for Agave, but in reality lots of work has been done and we’re putting the ground for an exciting 2022.

Short term, the xDai-Gnosis merge is not bringing a positive effect, since our liquidity incentives were based on TVL growth and users are withdrawing their $Stake in order to swap them with $Gno. However, we have implemented the Carrot KPI token, which will be a great incentive to loyal users and holders, and the rewards will increase with the increase of our TVL.

Furthermore, our fourth “How to Agave” article is out: Longing vs Shorting. We invite you to take a look at this article to understand DeFi a little better.

What is next for Agave? The upcoming months look pretty exciting. We are going to add new tokens to the platform (among these, Link, Usdt, Gno), renegotiate our liquidity incentives with Gnosis, and hope to expand our reach to the users that will inevitably join the Gnosis chain as this grows and gets traction.

Buzz Swarm:

For the month of December buzz had focus on creating and generating original content. We were working on banners and ad links for blockscout in order to bring more exposure to the 1Hive dapps.

We already submitted some of the banners and others are still work in progress. Here are some examples:

We are also working on NFBeez,Celeste and Honeycomb ads, more insights on this in the next recap.

Other than that, we had a call and we are communicating with the NFBeez founders in order to help promote NFBez and 1Hive together, it is looking like a very promising project and many of the contributors are part of 1Hive.

On the DeFI side of the business we are in talks with DeHive for some time and they successfully launched 2 clusters (indexes) which are supporting buy pressure of $HNY and other tokens on Honeyswap , one of the indexes called De-xdai cluster contains large proportion of ~26% $HNY. When people are buying this index there is some $HNY bought and they and there are also staking rewards for it in $GNO and $DHV and we are now communicating to help them with some rewards together with the other projects in the index to offer more sustainable yields long term

We also made nice celebration banners for Christmas and New Year and shared them with our dear 1Hive community.

Buzz has been integrating their time into honeyswap development/Tulip swarm in order to break the barriers for the partnerships requirements. We require multi reward farm contracts to be able to create partnership opportunities as that has been the main sentiment out of the meetings we have been a part of. Also multi-reward farms allow for better liquidity conditions on Honeyswap and sustainable token farming with lucrative APRs. We will dedicate more time to work on partnerships, campaigns and DAO 2 DAO or Dao 2 Project communications and events such as AMA events etc.

Buzz joined the Gnosis innovation DAO to keep up to date to have a voice in the network.

NFBeez:

December has been the busiest month for the NFBee swarm because we are getting very close to LAUNCH.

Achievements in December:

-the art is finalized at long last (Thanks Gigadig)
-the website is live: https://www.nfbeez.xyz/ (Thanks Billy)
-all the airdrop addresses are collected and ready to receive an NFBee (Thanks Billy)
-we are getting very close to launch.The mint is No longer 3,333 NFTs, it is now 2,525
-That means all the NFTs just went up in value
-The price for each mint will now be 39xDai
-nfbeez.eth registered to create snapshot.org voting system for NFBees
-we have finalized our budget: Project Overview - Google Sheets

Quests Swarm:

This month was a big sprint to complete the MVP for the end of the year. We have worked very hard together to reach this goal. We are happy to announce that all these features are now available :

Browse already existing quests

Fund quest as a Patron
Claim/Challenge quest (coming very soon)

So early 2022 will be a Big Bug Bash & fix that may result in our first release : MVP.

We already have a demo version (Claim/Challenge feature have some dummy data right now): Demo App (Rinkeby)

So year, Quests swarm will put focus on all the stuff we have kept in the icebox as well as fixing and maintaining the initial version (MVP).

We are now around 4 active members. We would be happy to welcome more members, if anyone is wheeling for a couple of hours a week (or more), poke Quests channel on discord

Treasury:

The Treasury Swarm has been focused on utilizing Hedgey’s covered calls product in continued strategies to responsibly convert HNY into xDAI. 100 HNY has been allocated to the treasury swarm to continue diversification strategies, and will be utilizing a new more efficient Hedgey covered calls tool called the Treasury Pools to scale and accommodate for the increased allotment size. Some stats from the pilot as of the end of the year (the 30 HNY initially allocated):

Total xDAI in the Gnosis Safe: 9,712 xDAI
- $2,387 earned in Premiums (25% Yield ~ 100% APY)
- 27.5 HNY converted to 7,325 via options exercised
2.5 HNY still deployed with Hedgey (may result in an additional $1,250 xDAI)

As we look into 2022, the next steps are to work with the new Hedgey Gnosis Safe App (expected to be deployed into production early January) to use the Treasury Pools (pooled covered calls) product to layer out strategies for the 100 HNY. Discussions to be held with the swarm on optimal strategies to begin with. The goal is to generate at least 50k in xDAI over the course of 3 - 6months with this 100 HNY, and then continually request additional allocations for more usage and diversification.

There are additional Hedgey tools being built that may interest the HNY DAO and Treasury swarm - to be investigated as we learn more.

We would like to additionally begin the integrations of Hedgey tools into Gardens apps and ecosystem. Will need cross swarm collaboration for that integration process.

Tulip Swarm:

The proposal passed and we’re now on track with a plan to change the farms and implement new functionalities.

In the immediate future we’ll be deactivating the lock function on the farms and work on more and better analytics for the 1Hive Dune Board as well as implementing new farming contracts to offer more options to Garden’s communities.
